From 1519 when Hernando Cortez was recorded as bringing the first paint horses to the "new west" to the present, the American Paint Horse has enjoyed some of the highest honors of any breed. Cortez loved these horses for their stamina... The Native American loved them for their beauty and grace... And the Cowboys loved them for their speed and agility.
